In the chart below, you can see how many seams you can expect with each option. Note that we don't guarantee that you won't have more seams than are shown here. The table reflects the best case scenario.
If you are somewhat flexible in your sizing, it is a good idea to make adjustments to allow for fewer seams. For example, instead of ordering a 20' x 20' tarp, you might want to make it 20' x 19' 9" in order to eliminate a seam while still using a standard hem.
